Claire Montgomerie

I am a textiles designer, specialising in knit and crochet, trained at Middlesex university and the Royal College of Art in London. Since graduating in 2004, I have been designing my own range of toys, garments and accessories, writing patterns and books and teaching textiles at many different levels. I enjoy making my little characters more than anything else and can while away many a happy hour hand embroidering individual personalities onto their little faces!
The designer in me means that the style of my work tends towards beautiful colours within simple yet flattering shapes, textures and fabric.
My pattern books include Knitting For Children and crochet for children Published by Cico books, Knitting Vintage anf fashion crochet by Carlton publishing, Easy Baby Knits and Easy Kids Knits published by RPS and Knitter’s Palette by Readers Digest.
