Deneen St Amour

I’ve been crocheting for about 11 years now, self-taught using the book “Crocheting in Plain English”. Most of my patterns are free and I do my best to make sure each pattern is written specifically for a beginner crocheter because I remember my frustration with some older patterns “assuming” I would know the first ch 2 counts as a stitch (sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t, depends on the designer), etc.

I currently have four crochet designs for sale on Knit Picks through their IDP Designer Program, Scarfalicious and “Lady In Red” Felted Evening bag,Felted Carry-All Crochet Tote and Hippie Chick Shawl.

I have been published in several Crochet Pattern a Day Calendars, Crochet Liberation Front First Ever Book and have freebie patterns on my website, Crochet Pattern Central, as well as The Daily Crocheter, DIY Life, CrochetMe.com and other online sites.

I own a wheel and hope to start spinning soon, love dyeing yarn and fiber and plan to learn to knit, but my first love will always be crochet.

I live in the wilds of southern New Jersey with my husband, a very precocious 12 year old daughter and beloved feline pal Kitters.
