My MIL is the one who taught me to knit. When the hubs and I were still dating, I admired a sweater she’d made for her granddaughters (she has seven and is always knitting them sweaters) and commented offhand that I’d like to learn (as much for brownie points as anything - I’m a sewer and a crafter, but had never touched needles before). But when I started, I got totally addicted and here we are.

And I think I’m in - one recent Christmas the MIL knitted me an afghan. How’s that for love?

The thing I’ve probably knitted the most of? Dog scarves. They sell really well.
