I’m living a creative life in Minneapolis, MN; doing my best to appreciate the beautiful useful things and make peace with middle-age.
I keep a visual journal, make a drawing most every day, collage, paint, sew, felt, and play with words. There is not an art supply out there safe from my curiosity and I hoard piles of paper, fabric, and fiber.
I’m an urban gardener creating a turf-free, pollinator-friendly oasis in the middle of the city. I beleive in an edible landscape, having dirt in my hair, and a future in beekeeping.
I have been known to swoon over a well chosen word, and fall deeply in love with eloquence. I have an insatiable appetite for a well told story, I read like a maniac and hear poetry when I eavesdrop.
I practice yoga and I practice peace. I believe in kindness and try hard to never be an asshole. I’m currently teaching yoga at several studios in Minneapolis.
I’m a member of the Artist Co-op at the MN Center for Book Arts, and a member of The Textile Center of MN. I have a degree in English Literature. I hold an Advanced Certificate in Book Arts, and have completed over 300 hours of Yoga Teacher Training. I am currently enrolled in the Urban Farm Certification Program at the Permaculture Research Institute Cold Climate.
