I started knitting at the age of eight & designing at eighteen (not always successfully because of the usual issues with gauge). Getting over that hurdle and a summer spent working towards the Master Knitter designation improved my technique immensely. At 40 I was published for the first time and enjoy seeing my patterns knit by others.
