Jocelyn Viernes

I’ve always wanted to learn how to knit, having grown up in front of foreign films where I see women with string and pointy sticks, and being envious of their skills.

After I picked up a cheap set of plastic needles and acrylic yarn from a kiosk at the mall, I Googled “knitting” and was led to I’ve not looked back since then and keep on learning every day.

Designing, I suppose, is the next logical evolution for a knitter. We start by modifying patterns to suit our body shapes and yarn specifications and before we know it, we are no longer content with following instructions to the letter but insist on being independent and stamping our own footprints on every item we create.

PS: I am not trying to re-invent the wheel or compete with any of the amazingly talented designers here on Ravelry.
