Julie Turjoman

Julie Turjoman

An accomplished knitter for 25 years, I relish the challenges of designing everything from garments to accessories, in both books and stand-alone patterns.

Launched in October, 2014 was A Head For Trouble: What To Knit While Catching Crooks, Chasing Clues and Solving Murders (20 Hats and Adornments Inspired by Lady Detectives of the Roaring Twenties).

In June, 2014 Knits That Breathe: 12 Breezy Projects To Keep You Cool was launched, covering alternative and plant-based fibers that take the “sweat” out of sweater. If you live in a hot, humid climate, or suffer from an unreliable internal thermostat (hot flashes, anyone?), or have a sensitivity to wool and other animal fibers, Knits That Breathe means that you can finally wear your hand-knits again. And you know you want to!

My books are produced in both hard copy and electronic format. Once released, they are available for purchase and instant download on Ravelry or on my website, and the hard copy is available for purchase there as well (shipped within the U.S. only, via Priority Mail in a secure padded envelope). Errata are posted on the Ravelry project page as well as on my website. I am always glad to answer questions about the projects in my books, and your feedback and comments are welcome!
