I’m an East Coast native transplanted to the West Coast for the last 11 years, where I missed the colorful fall foliage from home - it always gave me knitting fever in anticipation of the cold days ahead. However, just when I thought we’d be there forever, my husband accepted a new job in… Chicago! We relocated in October, 2011 (just in time to get my fill of those gorgeous changing leaves!), and in addition to the countless features that make Chicago such a great city, I’m most excited about the need for lots of warm knitted sweaters and accessories.

Although I flirt with knitting a variety of accessories, my true passion is garment design.

My knitting book BRAVE NEW KNITS: 26 Projects and Personalities From the Knitting Blogosphere was released by Rodale, Inc. in August, 2010, and quickly made Amazon’s list of Best Books of 2010, in the Top Ten Craft books category.
