Leah Goldstein

Hi I’m Leah (pronounced “Leee”). I’m a knitwear designer, a researcher, an advocate of the AFSP, and I make songs sometimes. My username is BrotherLadies and my website is brotherladies.tumblr.com

I am inspired by resiliency, Greek mythology, and anyone who can rise up after being told “no.” I tend to design pieces that are intended to flatter the natural female/male form (in their endless varieties!). And it is my wish that my designs make women feel confident and powerful.

Knitting began as a way to manage nervous little hands and fingers. It continues as such. Although far from perfect, I’m assuming my cuticles would be much worse if I didn’t knit all the freakin’ time.

After years of making rectangles and squares ( & sometimes rectangles and squares with cables), I have expanded my skill set and I am now designing my own pieces.

Hello you lovely, flawless, stitch addicts & textile hackers! I proudly join your ranks!
