Linda Marlow-Thomson

Linda Marlow-Thomson

Linda is a long time knitter (over 40 years) and has been designing her own patterns for at least 15 years. She is a retired secondary art teacher, and taught for the Calgary Board of Education for 33 years. Knitting was her stress reliever after some difficult days in the junior high classroom. Linda has a BFA in fibre arts and is addicted to bright colours and knitting. She is also a weaver, quilter and needlepointer. Linda also designs her own needlepoint canvases. When you are in Calgary, visit her at the Calgary Farmers’ Market,
which should be reopening soon. Her knitting patterns are easy and fast, as she sells her hand knits made from these patterns in her little shop. Knitting and creating and dying yarns keeps her busy, she only takes time off to play with her three precious grandchildren.
