Lynette Meek
I love to knit and design my own knits. I am heavily influenced by colour and texture (like most designers!) and the yarns I use usually tell me what they want me to do. When I try to tell the yarns what I want - they almost always argue back.
March 2012 - It has been a wonderful year. I have had 3 more pattern in Vogue Knitting - 2 in the Spring/Summer 2012 issue! I continue to teach and self-publish and sell my patterns through Ravelry and Patternfish. I have just started a Ravelry Forum Group Le Tissier Designs.
March 2011 - Late last year I entered the Vogue Magic of Mohair Competition - I was 1st runner-up! My pattern will be published in the Early Fall Edition of Vogue Knitting. My feet still haven’t touched the ground!
I work full time at my LYS, helping to run the store and teaching. Most of my patterns are designed around a technique that I am planning on teaching in a class! We also host a retreat once a year and I teach at the retreat as well. This last year - 2010 - was our tenth retreat!
Last year I started selling my patterns through the store and as well at Infiknit - a Canadian pattern and yarn distributor. They sell to yarn stores across Canada, the USA and Great Britain. Look for LeTissier Designs in your LYS.
