I learned to knit when I was 7 and haven’t put the needles (or crochet hook!) down for long since then. Much of my professional experience is somehow related to textiles - I studied 17th century lace and embroidery while interning at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and work for a luxury linens company as a seamstress and embroider.
