There is nothing more fun than an owl in socks!

My name is Vera, I am a writer who loves to wax poetic on all things spiritual and creative.

I drink too much tea, eat not enough chocolate and also spend a lot of time doing vegetarian cooking, fibre crafts, day-dreaming and such.

Married to a talented, funny Canadian, I am a new arrival to his country. Together we enjoy travelling, gardening, hiking and meditation. I suppose we are just all-around eco-hippie types. ;-)

Owls who live in Canada need lots of warm, woolly socks and fuzzy scarves for covering up their clawsies and beakies!

I am new to designing and have so many ideas in my head that are slowly pouring out through my needles and hooks.

Mostly the patterns revolve around small and/or quick projects, fun and silly motifs and using up bits of yummy, scrumptious yarns. Like me, they are often inspired by mystical movies, fairyland visits and bygone historical eras…with the odd alien encounter thrown in for added spice!
