My name is Renee and yes, I’m officially a Reverend who knits. I am glad to do both in this world, and have found my place among those who inhabit faith communities as well as those in the fiber communities.
My world of knitting began long before I started my call as clergy. Taught by a friend’s mom in about 5th or 6th grade, I’ve now been knitting for over 40 years. For much of that time, I was the only knitter I knew, but that changed in 2004 when I joined a lovely knitting group and discovered the joys of in-person group knitting as well as the online world of fiber craft!
A few years ago I realized that the internet provided a way to share my fiber interest and stories I come across, and the blog began, and shortly thereafter I started to teach knitting and begin to design patterns myself. You’ll hear how my faith connects to the fiber world, especially around spiritual practices.
I’m available for retreats, teaching, and sharing fibercraft. Feel free to contact me, I’m happy to just connect with folks as well!
