Rita Dowd

Rita Dowd
My designs are textural, deliberate; my own voice in stitches.
My Palestinian grandmother, Teta, taught me how to knit when I was 12. From that point on, I was knitting and it was my passion. She called me and all of her grand children “Limun”, for lemon because we were sour but also sweet. I hope to continue to honor her through my passion to designing knitwear and writing patterns.
