Recently started a Rope Knits Group. Please swing by for news on patterns, testing, my upcoming book, etc.

So, what do you need to know about me…? I knit, I crochet. I teach both whenever I get the chance because it’s so much fun to see people “get it,” whether it’s casting on or doing a complicated cable. I’ve been designing on an on-and-off basis for about six years now, and am currently working on a book to be published in the spring of 2012.

I have three little girls and a nice husband, all of whom deserve more hand knits than they get. We have a goldfish and, currently, five sheep living in the backyard. (The sheep came with our rental house, though; if we ever get around to buying a home, the sheep won’t be coming with us.) We moved from central Illinois to Oregon, not far from Portland, in the spring of 2011. The West Coast still feels new to me and I still miss Illinois, but I think we’ll be very happy here.
