Sharon Hernes Silverman is a crochet designer, author, and instructor based in West Chester, PA. She has written 22 books, including 11 crochet titles: Crochet Cowls: Bold and Beautiful Designs](book), out 9/1/16; Easy Afghans; One-Skein Baby Projects; Crochet Refresher](book); Basic Crocheting Plus Projects; Tunisian Crochet Baby Blankets; Crochet Scarves: Fabulous Fashions, Various Techniques; Crochet Pillows with Tunisian and Traditional Techniques; Basic Crocheting; Beyond Basic Crocheting; and Tunisian Crochet: The Look of Knitting with the Ease of Crocheting.
Her large-scale installations have graced the Delaware Museum of Natural History and Hagley Museum (Wilmington, Delaware).
Sharon is a design member of The National NeedleArts Assocation (TNNA) and a professional member of the Crochet Guild of America (CGOA). She has been a featured guest on HGTV’s fiber arts show, “Uncommon Threads.”
Passionate about all kinds of crocheting--regular, Tunisian, tapestry, you name it!--Sharon is known for her fashionable creations, crystal clear instructions, and professionalism. Her designs have been published by leading yarn companies including Plymouth Yarn Co. and Louet North America. She also has a private line of patterns available in her Ravelry store.
Sharon loves to teach! Her classes have received rave reviews at venues large and small. She is a teacher of the Annie’s Crafts online video class, “Learn to Crochet Ripples,” available at www.anniescatalog.com.
