Hi there! My name is Katie Dawson, and I’m a ‘forgotten trades artisan’ from country Victoria, Australia.

I’m a spinner, weaver, knitter, crocheter, felter, woodturner, carpenter, painter, sketcher, sculptor, jeweller, leadlighter, and anything else that takes my fancy that day ;) I’m unable to take on formal employment, so I keep as busy as I can within my abilities, running a small business through Facebook and local markets selling the items that result from my constant fidgeting.

I’m the sort of person who never plans projects - I buy yarns that grab my attention and then scour Ravelry for hours, even days, for the perfect pattern! Sometimes the perfect pattern doesn’t exist yet (cough half price on the last 5 balls of Katia Angora 100% from my local yarn store closing cough), so my little grey cells get to work.

To that end, here you will find the patterns that have resulted from conversations between me and my yarn :P
