Toby MacNutt

I’ve always been more of an improviser than a pattern-follower, but I’ve finally started taking notes - especially now that I am doing more lace knitting, and “improvising” lace that works frequently takes a lot of math and charts.

I also spin, sew, quilt, draw, paint, write, and throw the occasional pot. By trade I’m a modern dancer and an anthropologist, with a focus (in both) on diversity.

On Copyright:
With my patterns, you may:

  • Make copies for personal use
  • Share a copy with a friend (free patterns only, please)
  • Create non-profit pieces: for example, donation to charity or to a non-profit fundraiser; or for someone else who purchases the materials for you to knit but does not pay you; or for a swap.

You may not:

  • Make copies for sale
  • Make copies for distribution (if you want to use a pattern in a group, KAL, or class setting, contact me)
  • Make finished objects for the express purpose of sale/profit: for example, to sell in a gallery or online store
  • Essentially, you may not use my work to make money.
