29 inch circular needles size 9 and 7; 16 inch circular needles sizes 9 and 7 or sizes required to get the gauge. For the 2 smallest sizes, you might need a set of size 9 and 7 double point needles for the sleeves.
Scrap yarn, 5 stitch markers- 4 of the same color and one that is a different color.
Blunt darning needle, safety pin.

Gauge- using the larger needles in stockinette st,
16 sts equal 4 inches. This is a loose gauge for the stated yarn and is necessary for the sweater to have the correct drape.
