From the magazine:

A dog’s bean bag bed gets super-comfy in an argyle pattern in Rialto Aran. Knit the diamonds in stockinette from the intarsia chart; then work the diagonal lines in duplicate stitch after cast-off. Back the piece with fabric, stuff with polystyrene beads and let sleeping dogs lie.

Basic written instructions to get you started, but mainly charted because of design.

Basic sewing skills needed to create lining and fabric backing.

Additional materials:
Large-eyed blunt-tipped sewing up needle
• Two 70 x 63cm/271⁄2 x 243⁄4in pieces of lining fabric
• Polystyrene beads for filling
• Two 70 x 33cm/271⁄2 x 13in pieces of
