Pattern description from Knit Simple, Holiday 2006: “Each bird is actually a knit diamond folded over and stuffed with fiberfill. Adorn their bodies with stitched wings, felted beaks, chain-stitch legs and fringed tails.”

Knit Tip: “Connect bird to bird by stranding them on a beaded string. Add a bell to the end and hang it over a door to track comers and goers.”

Materials:

  • Cotton Classic by Tahki Yarns/Tahki.Stacy Charles, Inc., 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 108yd/99m (cotton)
  • 1 ball each in #3995 red (A), #3703 olive (B), #3942 purple (C) and #3533 yellow (D)
  • One pair size 6 (4mm) needles or size to obtain gauge
  • Size G-6 (4mm) crochet hook
