#01 Knitted Chair Cover
Errata available: vogueknitting.com
Pattern description from Vogue Knitting, Holiday 2007: “Knitted and felted chair seat covers with a duplicate stitch (of knit in) floral pattern and embroidered details. Shown on page 24 & 26.”
- “To make gauge swatch, cast on 27 sts and work in St st for 36 rows. Swatch should measure 6” / 15.5cm square. Bind off. Felt swatch until it measures approx 4” / 10cm wide by 5” / 12.5cm tall. Keep track of how many washes were needed to achieve this measurement.”
- “You can download the charts from our website or order them by mail. (see page 135 for details).”
- “To make a cover for a bigger chair, add more background color to the stitches and rows. For a smaller chair, keep the same number of sts and rows. Some of the motif may go into the seam, but the result will still be beautiful.”
- “The floral pattern can be entirely knit in, or smaller sections can be worked in duplicate st, or all of the pattern can be worked in duplicate st.”
