Pattern description from Knit Simple Magazine, Holiday 2006: “Candy-cane sweet, this stocking is worked in a striped stockinette pattern with contrasting toe and heel. The snowcap cuff is knit separately in a garter-eyelet rib, sewn on and embellished with pompoms.”

Knit Tip: “For a lad’s version, omit the lacy cuff and pompoms.”

Materials:

  • 1824 Wool by Mission Falls, 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 85yd/78m (wool)
  • 2 balls each in #018 spruce (A) and #011 poppy (B)
  • 1 ball each in #001 natural (C) and #013 curry (D)
  • One pair size 7 (4.5mm) needles or size to obtain gauge
