MATERIALS AND TOOLS
See example for all the materials needed.
Yarn for the Mr. horse:

  1. 100 g of Light Fingering / 3 ply yarn for main parts. I used – ‘MOHAIR DELICATE’ from NAKO (40% mohair, 60% acrylic, 100 g/500 m); If you take thicker yarn the weight and size of the horse will grow so you may need stronger wire for the wire frame. IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO USE MUCH THICKER YARN the parts may twist more than needed and you will need to adjust parts with shift stitch.
  2. black – some for hoofs. I used – ‘SIRIUS’ from NAKO (100% acrylic, 100 g/610 m) crochet using 2 threads;
  3. white - some for eyes. I used – ‘JEANS’ from Yarn Art (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 160 m/50 g), split in 2 threads. Yarn for the coat: blue-black – 100 g of Aran / 10 ply (8 wpi), I used – ‘Lotos Travka Stretch’ from Camtex (acrylic 98%, lycra 2%, 50 g/80 m). • Steel hook matching the yarn weight. I used - 1.25 mm. (US steel hook – 10, UK steel hook - 5 1/2). Please note that you should use much thinner hook than stated at the yarn label. • A pair of 3 mm straight and circular knitting needles for the coat. • Any stuffing. • Copper electrical wire covered with plastic for the frame - approx. 200 cm; diameter 3 mm with plastic cover (you have to be able to bend it with hands, but it should keep the shape). See example for all the materials needed.
