Skinny stripes on a garter-stitch scarf set off felted Nordic stars worked separately and sewn on. Knit in Dale of Norway’s Ara and Hubro. Hint: Instead of cutting star shapes from felted stockinette-stitch squares, snip some purchased felt and attach with fabric glue.

MATERIALS
• 6 skeins in Ara by Dale of Norway, 1¾oz/50g skeins each approx 55 yd/50m (wool) in #4018 red (MC)
• 3 skeins in Hubro by Dale of Norway, 1¾oz/50g skeins, each approx 36 yds/33m (new wool) in #20 ecru (CC)
• One pair each sizes 8 and 11 (5mm and 8mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Tapestry needle
• Fabric glue
