Pattern description from Knit.1, Summer 2007: “Pants always get so dirty in the garden. Wear a skirt and keep that hem off the ground. Liz Nields’s striped A-line cutie is worked in two distinct lace patterns with three colors of Classic Elite Yarns’ ‘Bam Boo.’”

Stuff:

  • 8 (9, 10, 11, 12) balls in #4920 Citrine of Bam Boo by Classic Elite Yarns, 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 77yd/70m (bamboo)
  • 1 ball each in #4904 Antilles Aqua and #4915 Bamboo Leaf
  • One pair each size 5 and 6 (3.75 and 4mm) needles or size to get the gauge
  • 1yd/1m of 1” / 2.5cm wide elastic

This striped a-line skirt incorporates two stitch patterns in three colors of eco-friendly yarn. The skirt is worked in two pieces and sewn together. Find the pattern on page 78.
