Pattern Description from Vogue Knitting, Spring/Summer 2010: “Tiered strips of ruffled ‘Cha Cha’ ribbon yarn anchor to Reiss’s reverse-stockinette cardi in ‘Kid Seta,’ both from Trendsetter Yarns. Hemmed front bands and a collar that’s been picked up, knit and sewn double polish the look.”

“Mohair jacket worked with novelty yarn embellishment.”

  • Bust (closed) 37 (39, 42, 46, 50, 54)”/94 (99, 106.5, 116.5, 127, 137)cm
  • Length (including bottom ruffle) 22½ (23, 23½, 24, 24½, 25)”/57 (58.5, 59.5, 61, 62, 63.5)cm
  • Upper arm 12 (13, 14, 15, 16, 17)”/30.5 (33, 35.5, 38, 40.5, 43)cm

Materials:

  • 4 (5, 5, 6, 7, 7) .88oz/25g balls (each approx 230yd/210m) of Trendsetter Yarns Kid Seta (mohair/silk) in #1027 midnight (MC)
  • 1 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2) 3½oz/100g hanks (each approx 65yd/60m) of Trendsetter Yarns Cha Cha (wool/acrylic/nylon) in #433 dark denim (CC)
  • One pair size 8 (5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Gauge:

  • 16 sts and 22 rows = 4”/10cm over reverse St st using size 8 (5mm) needles
  • TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE

Note: CC is a knitting ribbon. To prepare CC to be worked, open up hank and place on a flat surface or yarn swift. Wind CC around the yarn label, taking care not to fold or twist the ribbon.
