This shawl knitted to the same size as the pattern will work well as either a lady’s shawl or as a baby shawl. The photo shows the shawl made in cotton so that the stitch detail is really crisp however I have also made this in the past using Gutermann silk and, although some of the detail is lost, it drapes beautifully.

It is not the easiest of my patterns as there may need to be adjustments if your tension is not the same as mine so is not suitable to a beginner in miniature or lace knitting however I have done my best to make everything as clear as possible.

The shawl is made in 2 parts with the outside edging knitted first and then the centre made to fit. Instructions on how to adjust the centre section to fit inside the frame are given in the pattern.

It can also be a bedcover if you make it wider, longer and only add the edging to three of the sides. Instructions on how to adjust both the edging and the centre section are given in the pattern.

About My Patterns
I am in the process of moving all my patterns to Ravelry and will also update them when I can. Until I manage this, each pattern will be A4 with a black & white picture of the finished outfit and will be available at a reduced price.
