Pattern description from Vogue Knitting, Winter 2008/08: “Joan Forgione has a few tricks up these wide sleeves belled with reverse-stockinette gores. The mock-turtleneck tunic to which they’re attached is stitched in an allover multicabled pattern with ‘Extrafine Merino Wool DK’ from Sublime/KFI.”

“Loose-fitting boxy pullover in single cable repeating pattern with stand-up turtleneck and flare sleeve insets. Sized for Small, Medium, Large, X-Large. Shown in size Small on page 75.”

Materials:

  • 22 (26, 30, 34) 1¾oz/50g balls (each approx 127yd/116m) of Sublime/KFI Extrafine Merino Wool DK (wool) in #3 alabaster
  • One pair each sizes 5 and 6 (3.75 and 4mm) needles or size to obtain gauge
  • Size 5 (3.75mm) circular needle, 16”/40cm length
  • Cable needle
  • Stitch markers

Additional Gauge: 35 sts and 34 rows = 4”/10cm over chart 2 pat using larger needles. Take time to check gauges.

Note: A selvage st of k1 is worked at beg and end of every row.
