Instructions for a little girl’s lace panel cardigan embellished with lots of ribbon and ribbon roses.  The cardigan features a contrast coloured edging which is also placed on the front button borders.

You will need:

Between 2.5 and 3m of 6mm ribbon, 16 ribbon roses for fronts and sleeves only.

15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 2.5-4lb Prem) Size

100g 4ply yarn in main colour, 50g contrast colour, 6 buttons,  1 stitch holder, 1 x pr 2.75mm needles making a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 3-5lb Prem) Size

100g 4ply yarn in main colour, 50g contrast colour, 6 buttons, 1 stitch holder, 1 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 5-7lb Newborn) Size

100g 4ply yarn in main colour, 50g contrast colour, 6 buttons, 1 stitch holder, 1 x pr  3.75mm needles.  OR use dk yarn and 3.25mm needles making a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size

100g dk yarn in main colour, 50g contrast colour, 6 buttons, 1 stitch holder,  1 x pr 3.75mm needles making a tension of 24sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size

100g dk yarn in main colour, 50g contrast colour, 6 buttons, 1 stitch holder, 1x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

This pattern has been designed by myself so it is in UK terminology. It does not follow the usual ‘shop bought’ format. There are 6 pages with clear and easy to follow instructions. All my patterns are tested by independent knitters before they are released, so every effort is made so that they come to you error-free.
