Description from Noni’s website:

This little coat, inspired by the Princess & the Pea story, is one I imagine little girls will love to wear: romantic, brightly colored, wonderfully girly without being overwrought. The stripes represent the mattresses the princess slept on. Little bobble peas (many more than the princess had to contend with) decorate the coat. Pattern includes instructions for both ruffled and plain edged coats. Slightly felted, they are soft and warm enough to use in the Fall or Winter months.

Finished Chest: 22.5-28.25”

Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Important: for this project, row gauge is more critical than stitch gauge. I recommend the yarn called for, but if you substitute, use a worsted weight yarn with high merino content. Take time to a make and felt a large swatch. Only use yarns that give you the felted gauge.*

Gauge above is for non-felted. Felted gauge is 22 sts and 32 rows over 4 inches/10 cm on a US 9/5.5 mm needle.

Coat can be worked as a solid color or with stripes in three different color schemes. Yardage above assumes solid color.
