Two types of yarn are required: “plain” fingering-weight in darker lilac and metallic in lighter lilac

This ankle-length dress has a close-fitting bodice with narrow straps. The skirt has an upper layer that is knee-length and a long lower layer. The upper bodice and under layer of the skirt are worked in dark lilac fingering weight. The lower bodice is worked in light lilac metallic, and the upper skirt is worked in narrow stripes of the two yarns.
