Gauge is not important for this project, as dolls hands vary in shape and can make mittens difficult to fit if dolls fingers are splayed out.

Materials required: size 22 (0.70 mm/US size 6/0) needles, small amount No 80 crochet cotton or Tatting thread No. 70 in main colour and two contrast colours (colour details are given in individual patterns), small amounts of embroidery thread for features.
Note: As such small amounts of yarn are required one strand of embroidery thread can be substituted for the crochet cotton/tatting thread if preferred.
