Pattern includes a chart as well as full written instructions for working the heart motif, remainder of pattern is written. Notes are given before pattern on how to knit in miniature using two or more colours, as this can be slightly different than when knitting in full size.

This would also make a lovely human sized pincushion.

Materials required: One pair size 20 (0.90 mm) needles, 1-ply cotton in two colours (approx 28 yards/25 metres main colour blue and 6 yards/5 metres contrast colour pink, small quantity of stuffing material.
Before starting: Break off about 12 yards/10 metres of blue yarn for second side of heart, this will save you having to carry and weave the yarn in behind the heart motif.

Finished size: approx. 1½-inches/3 cm square (including frill)

Gauge – Gauge is not important for this project as cushions can be any size in reality.
