Materials required: size 21 (0.80 mm) knitting needles, 28 yards/25 metres of 1-ply wool in main colour, 1 yard/metre 1-ply wool in red or dark pink for tongue, small amount of stuffing (polyester filling, kapok or cotton wool-DO NOT use cotton wool if you intend to wash the poodle!), small amount of black wool for embroidering nose and eyes, scrap of ribbon for bow (optional).

Finished size - approx. ¾-inch/2 cm tall by ½-inch/1.5 cm wide

Gauge – Gauge is not important for this project as you can make it stretch to fit a miniature toilet roll.
