Pattern description from Vogue Knitting, Spring/Summer 2007: “’Babies are such magical beings, and we knit for them with joy and expectation. One of your most important decisions when designing for babies is the yarn you will use. Choose one that is soft, luxurious and beautiful in color. The yarn for this blanket and pillow cover fit the bill perfectly. Never be afraid to use the most wonderful cashmeres and silk blends; many can be machine-washed with a no-rinse soap such as Eucalan. You are knitting heirlooms, so pick up those luscious fibers and knit to your heart’s content.’ Eaton’s blanket centers on a bobbled square bordered with the same purl-diamond lattice that graces the pillow’s front. Its stockinette back has a button flap for easy pillow-form removal. Both are stitched in Knit One, Crochet Too’s baby alpaca/silk/cashmere ‘Ambrosia.’”

“Carriage-size blanket and matching pillow in purl stitch lattice and bobble patterns with fold under picot edgings. shown on page 72.”
