The ‘braid’ is embroidered on top of the raglan seams after the garment is finished and seamed together. It is made with a crochet hook and 8 strands of yarn held together. The front edges and neckline are finished with a couple rows of single-crochet (US), and the buttonholes are made at the very end by simply pulling ‘bars’ up/down in the fabric and tacking it in place with sewing thread.
