This colorful hat has an optional bead and sequin trim.

  • One size fits most.
  • One skein each of 2 colors and Remnants of 4 colors of yarn. Very little yardage is required. A perfect way to use up those partial balls from other projects. You will have enough yarn to complete the wrist warmers as well as the cap.
  • Knit in the round on circular and double pointed needles.
  • Stranded colorwork is done from the provided chart.
  • Add seed beads and sequins to the edges if it pleases you or leave them plain.

The cap is an accessory to a cardigan sweater. A pattern for the sweater and for wrist warmers and cowl are also available in the booklet.

This is a very simple small project, perfect for a first attempt at stranded colorwork.

Note that the featured photo shows the knitter’s own adaptation for the crown patterning.
