#15 Crochet Pearls
Pattern Description from Knit.1, Spring/Summer 2009: “Lei down some tracks in Linda Cyr’s cool necklaces. Single-crochet shapes looped with ‘Grand Opera’ from Nashua Handknits/Westminster Fibers are fitted around foam balls that are strung together with fishing line.”
Stuff:
- 2 balls each in #4921 Silver and #5036 Gold of Grand Opera by Nashua Handknits/Westminger Fibers, Inc., 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 128yd/117m (merino wool/viscose/metallized polyester)
- 1 ball in #2442 Golden Cream
- Size D-3 (3.25mm) crochet hook or size to get the gauge
- 24 (30, 36) ¾”/20mm foam balls
- medium weight fishing line, 12”/30.5cm longer than desired finished necklace length
- Sharp sewing needle, at least 2”/5cm in length
Measurements: Finished necklace approx 1”/2.5cm wide x 24 (30, 36)”/61 (76, 91.5)cm long
Note: Finished cover should fit snugly on bead form.
