Requires knowledge of knitting, purling, picking up stitches within the knitted fabric, decreasing, and knitting in the round.

Gauge

Pre-felted gauge: 13 stitches and 16 rounds = 4” (10cm) in stockinette st with larger needles and yarn doubled.
Felted/non-felted gauge: 16 stitches and 24 - 32 rounds = 4” (10cm)..

Yarn Options

The cover sample with short flap was made in Stonehedge Fiber Mill’s Shepherd’s Wool (worsted weight; 100% merino wool; 250 yds 229m per 3 1/2 oz 100g skein) in Garnet. The sample with the long flap was made with Shepherd’s Wool in Red.
