Fringe (No. 158)

Pattern Difficulty

Intrepid Easy: Requires knowledge of knitting, purling, picking up stitches within the knitted fabric, knitting in the round, decreasing. Hand-sewing and riveting are required for the finishing process.


12 sts and 16 rounds/rows over 4” (10cm) using a size 11 (8mm) needle or needle size to obtain gauge.


Yarn Requirements

Small Bag: 1000 yds (914m)
Large Bag: 1250 yds (1143m)

Work each felted bag with two strands of worsted weight, feltable yarn.

Size 11 (8mm) 24” (60cm) circular needle
4 stitch markers, 1 of a different color
1 Stitch marker to mark round
Tapestry needle, sewing needle, & nylon beading thread
4 no. 8 seed beads to attach Noni label

Yarn Options

The small cover sample was made in Stonehedge Fiber Mill’s Shepherd’s Wool (worsted weight; 100% merino wool; 250 yds 229m per 4 oz 110g skein) in Granite. The large sample was made with Shepherd’s Wool in Storm.
