Dreaming of past times, pretending to be Anne of Green Gables…..the dolls are going to have a great time playing in this outfit.

It will fit dolls with bodies like the American Girl dolls, Gotz Little Sisters, London Girl and similar sized dolls.

This is a written pattern which has been testknit. It includes PDF files for Anne’s green dress, her white pinafore and one for her shawl and even her carpet bag!
Please note that there are 3 separate files included. You need to download all 3 PDF files for the complete outfit.

The dress uses 2 x 50gr balls of Crilly worsted weight yarn.
The pinafore 1 x 50 gr ball. worsted weight.
The shawl is made of about 25-30 gr of fingering yarn.
The carpet bag is made with scraps of yarn. I used 3 colours but it can be adapted to use more or fewer colours. It needs two short thin pieces of wood (cut down skewer is ideal) two beads and some braided plastic or tape for the handles. (Different weight yarn will result in a slightly different size bag)

The textured pattern of the dress does need some concentration but is only knit and purl stitches. The pinafore is very simple. The shawl is an easy lace border with stitches picked up and worked in garter stitch with short rows creating the shape .
The carpetbag has a slipstitch pattern.
