Nice long scarf for your 18” doll, such as American Girl doll “Kirsten.”

Note on the yarn weight: I used Red Heart “Designer Sport.” Ravelry calls this a DK yarn, and that’s why I listed DK weight as the weight to use for this pattern. In reality, you could use a different weight, and adjust needle size until you get a gauge you like. Use whatever needle size/yarn weight combination you like that, when making a scarf that is 15 stitches wide, gives you a scarf that is about the right width for your doll. After all, this is pretty much just a garter stitch scarf, which really wouldn’t even warrant a pattern, except that I thought it might be nice to share the charted section, so that anyone else wanting to make this scarf wouldn’t have to figure it out from scratch!

Note on yardage: I’d estimate it requires maybe around 140 yards of the main color… I was using a 279 yd skein and I think there’s half a skein - maybe even a little more than that - left. (Lesson learned: Next time, track yardage as you work so it’s easier to share the pattern with others!) ;)
