This is a fun project using a very interesting stitch that makes it look like a woven fabric. It is worked side to side on two circular needles at the same time because the herringbone stitch is worked on bigger needles. It has separating zippers allowing this cape to become a jacket in the matter of seconds and no sleeves to work - the panel ends up as a sleeve by the join of the zipper :)

The pattern includes a lot of details and pictures on how to attach the zippers and also creating the button hole tab at the top.
