I used less than two skeins of fingering weight yarn. It is highly recommended that that you use a solid, tonal or speckled yarn so the lace designs are clearly visible.

Gauge is not important. Using a different weight yarn and needle can affect the size of the finished object. Both written and charted instructions are included.
