Pattern Description from Vogue Knitting, Holiday 2008: “Bennett’s refined, sultry cardigan features a Fair Isle motif of one color worked on a background of shifting stripes, all knit in one piece to the underarms with Classic Elite Yarns’ ‘Inca Alpaca.’ It finishes with a lower border of reverse-stockinette stripes and fold-under hems on the sleeves.”

“Close-fitting cardigan knit in one body piece with Fair Isle bands and open front with rolled edge trim.”

Knitted Measurements:

  • Bust: 30 (34.5, 38.5, 42.5)”/76 (87.5, 98, 108)cm
  • Length: 26 (26.5, 27, 27.5)”/66 (67, 68.5, 70)cm
  • Upper arm: 13 (14, 14.75, 15.5)”/33 (35.5, 37.5, 39.5)cm

Materials:

  • 5 (6, 7, 7) 1.75oz/50g hanks (each approx 109yd/100m) of Classic Elite Yarns Inca Alpaca (alpaca) in #1178 cocoa (A)
  • 2 (3, 3, 3) hanks each in #1158 rio red (B), #1105 begonia (C) and #1151 tulip (D)
  • Size 6 (4mm) circular needle, 32”/80cm long or size to obtain gauge.
