Work this oversized sweater from neck down in St-st and with 1 strand Peer Gynt and 1 strand Tynn Silk Mohair.

The horizontal stripes for squares are knitted during work, while the vertical stripes are embroidered with knit sts on the finished garment.

Knit up sts on each shoulder for left and right side of front, and work these parts separately back and forth with turning rows and inc for neck line.
Join parts at middle front, work until underarms and cont to work vertical stripes in contrast colors.
Cont St-st for back and front in rnds with stripes until dividing for slit at sides, and work each side separately.
Knit up sts for sleeves and work St-st in rnds with stripes in contrast color.
End with ribbing.
Work neckband.
Embroider vertical stripes in contrast color.
