Pattern description from Vogue Knitting, Spring/Summer 2007: “Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton’s boxy boat-neck alternates thick and thin hand-dyed fibers from Colinete/Unique Kolours: The billowy cotton-blend ‘Giotto’ is plied in stockinette, the smooth silk ‘Tao’ in garter stitch.”

“Standard-fitting top worked in stripes of St stitch and garter stitch with drop shoulders, long sleeves and a wide boat neck. Sized for Small, Medium, Large and shown in size Small on page 65.”

  • 4 (5, 5) 1¾oz/50g balls (each approx 128yd/117m) of Colinette/Unique Kolours Tao (silk) in #75 moss
  • One pair each sizes 6 and 11 (4 and 8mm) needles or size to obtain gauge
  • Stitch markers

Additional Gauge: 12 sts and 14 rows = 4”/10cm over St st in Giotto using larger needles
