Pattern Descriptions from Vogue Knitting, Holiday 2008: “A swingy oversized silhouette sculpted with shaped side seams and exaggerated ribbing at the neckline, sleeves and hemline give Galina Carroll’s tunic a free-flowing feel. The main body is knit in stockinette stitch with Plymouth Yarn’s ‘Alpaca Boucle,’ while the ribbing takes two strands of ‘Baby Alpaca Brush’ held together.”

  • 8 (8, 9, 9) 1.75oz/50g balls (each approx 110yd/100m) of Plymouth Yarn Co. Baby Alpaca Brush (alpaca/acrylic) in #1004 pumpkin (A)
  • 8 (8, 9, 10) 1.75oz/50g balls (each approx 60yd/55m) of Alpaca Boucle (alpaca/nylon) in #2037 pumpkin (B)
  • One size 10 (6mm) circular needle, 32”/80cm long or size to obtain gauge
  • One pair size 10 (6mm) straight needles

Note: The ribbed borders are all worked in k1, p1 rib using 2 strands of A held tog and size 10 (6mm) needles. The rest of the tunic is worked in St st using single strand B.
