Both English and Japanese versions are fully charted using standard knitting and/or crochet symbols. Japanese version available here.

Materials:

• Japanese size 7/0 (4.0 mm) hook
• yarn (see details above)
• approx. 6g polyethylene cord, used as stiffener for sides of basket (recommended cord is 0.7mm in diameter and approx. 20m long)

Note: After completing the bottom of the basket, you begin working on the sides. At this point, you’re supposed to crochet the plastic cord into the sides (i.e., you crochet around it so that it’s contained within the crochet stitches and not visible) to give it more sturdy shape.
